One of the best, if not the best, modern
electronic bossa inspired compilations out there. If you are a dj, this is a
necessity, worth every cent!! Features releases from labels like Compost, Schema
(who released this), Mr. Bongo, Ultimate Dilemma, G Stone, and a few more.
Includes artists rather well known in the genre (nu jazz, etc) - Truby Trio, Les
Gammas, Tosca, Soulstance,
Nicola Conte - along side lesser known - Artless,
Kanoe and South Copa. If you aren't a dj and wondered what cool groovins they
were playing in that lounge/bar somewhere "downtown", then this is the
compilation for you. Enjoy it! --an
Amazon reviewer
I got this CD when it first came out and haven't been disappointed. It's the fifth installment of the Schema Break & Bossa series and this one is, IMO, better than the rest. Included are brand new tracks from Soulstance and smooth bossa remixes from Nicola Conte. Disc one has the regular tracks in full while the second CD is like a real lounge fest, mixing seamlessly tracks from Nicola Conte to Rosalia De Sousa to Intuit, (check Glucklich vol IV) to Les Hommes and Soulstance and more. --an Amazon reviewer Really appreciated both by listeners & critics, more than just a compilation, Break n' Bossa has been, during the years, the exact mirror of a music scene, rather, it was the project that literally invented a new music genre, giving a connotation & a point of reference to the growing up scene. Schema Records helped in its development with all its artists. You could think that a vol. 6 was too much. That after 5 years of Break n' Bossa it's too easy to fall into cliches. But at Schema we think different & we are going to show you we are right. Featured artists on this double disc include The Dining Rooms, Nicola Conte, Buscemi, Paul & Mark, United Future Organization, Soulstance & Big Bossa. Deluxe gatefold digipak. Schema. 2003. --album description Compiled by Massimo Napoli from Mercati Generali, One of the Most Important Clubs in Catania, Sicily.
